If you desire to make Venture your home church, this is your opportunity to make a deeper commitment as a member. Discover Venture is a 4-week class that will go through the Catch the Vision curriculum in a facilitated small group format.

Next Class: TBD

Have you recently committed your life to Christ? Or are you a believer who has not yet been baptized by immersion? Take the next step and follow Jesus' example by being baptized here at Venture.

Water Baptism is an outward sign of what the Holy Spirit has performed in the heart of each believer. This class will explain what Baptism is, why we do it, how it is distinct from Christening or Infant Baptism, and what the requirements & procedures are for Baptism at Venture. At the end of the class, you will be able to decide if you wish to be baptized and we will assign a date & pastor to baptize you.

God is working out His redemptive story in your life. As a Christ follower, your story is a powerful tool in helping others encounter Jesus. Come to a six-week class where you will learn how to relate the “good news” to others. We’ll look at a number of approaches, and will wrestle with reasons why we don’t talk to others about Jesus. If you want to go “on mission” in your sphere of influence but don’t feel equipped, this class is for you.

Next Session: TBD

Are you a new believer or do you have questions regarding your faith? In this class we will discuss the major tenants of the Christian faith and how to live a life pleasing to God. Come join us for great discussion and an opportunity to meet others!

Next Session: TBD

Many people think that the Bible is difficult to understand and almost impossible to interpret accurately. In this class we will explore the basic Bible study methods that will enable you to find your way around the Bible, read with understanding and interpret it with confidence. These simple concepts will transform your study and unlock the treasures in God’s Word.

Next Session: TBD

Explore the basics of prayer. Learn life transforming prayer skills based on Scripture. We will explore potential blocks to our connection with God and others. We teach prayer tools that enable you to live the abundant life and stay connected throughout your day regardless of the circumstances.

Because of the challenges that face today's married couples, we have put together a premarital seminar to help prepare couples for what lies ahead. Dean & Tina Engel, specialists in the area of marriage and family development, and Pastor Howard & Kathy Clark, will address a number of issues confronting a couple in the 21st century. It will be an enriching time of discussion and interaction that we hope will be of benefit to you in the years to come. "Untying the Knots of the Heart" is a potentially life changing process which takes place in a safe small group discipleship setting. Through the eyes of God, you are introduced to yourself. This group experience helps to expose new, untapped areas of your heart to the Gospel. We see frequently in the Bible that we are supposed to be experiencing the "ABUNDANT" life which typically means love, joy, peace, hope - life overflowing. But why are Christians more often than not anxious, stressed out, depressed, sad, addicted? Come discover the whys behind these types of questions. Come rediscover the Gospel in a powerful, life transforming way!

Women's 12-Step Study

Tuesdays @ 7pm  |  Room 220  |  Sept 12, 2017 - May 29, 2018

Our purpose is to walk along (disciple) women both inside and outside the body of Christ. Some may be suffering in silence from strongholds that keep them stuck, or from hurts that don't seem to heal even by attending church. If we're honest, many of us have walked in those shoes or still are. This study gets to the root of our brokenness and destructive patterns of behavior. If we desire to live in the fullness and freedom promised in God's Word, it is imperative to reorient our lives around Jesus' characteristics found in His Word. If the above has pinged your heart strings and you're interested in learning more about the group, please call Barbara at 408.693.0317.

Room 224

Improv is an adult Bible study class that encourages questions and comments as we study verse-by verse, chapter by chapter in God's Word. We are currently studying the book of Ecclesiastes, and will begin 1 Samuel and 1 Kings in October. We typically alternate our studies between the Old and New Testament. We have a rotating team of teachers, all of whom prepare using multiple commentaries written by well known, conservative Bible scholars. Throughout the year we meet for times of fellowship, including picnics and small group dinners/lunches. We add new members all the time, so please join us!

Room 223

Men's Bible Study - Looking for fellowship with other men where you can be the "real" you? Change your discouragement into joy. Regardless of where you are in life or spiritual maturity, you will fit right in!

The Smart-Family/Blended DVD by Ron Deal provides tools to help you manage complex stresses you face as a couple and within the family. Watch the video for more »

Room 219

Gain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of God's Word (content, context, message, relevance, and meaning for 21st century followers). We examine a single book of the Bible at a time, verse-by-verse (this year the Acts of the Apostles). Class includes live and/or multimedia teaching, sharing of blessings and concerns, prayer and refreshments.

"But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."  – 1 Timothy 1:5

Room 223

Our class is structured around a Bible lesson followed by a prayer time. We typically go through Bible studies of books of the Bible, and we also occasionally have guest mission speakers. Following the lesson, we divide into women and men’s groups to pray and encourage each other. Come experience our genuine care and community. We welcome all ages, middle school to adult.

Room 211

This class is for those who seek fellowship, a community of prayer support, and a desire to mature in their faith through an in-depth, bible study experience. The class begins with a time of fellowship and prayer and concludes with a verse by verse study of one of the 66 books of the Bible. We are currently completing our study of Galatians, and will then start a study of Judges — a study in which we will meet many heroes of faith: Othniel, Gideon, Samson, Shamgar, Deborah, Jephthah, Ehud...flawed individuals who answered God’s call to deliver the Israelites in sometimes dramatic form. The book includes many of the most graphic, violent, and disturbing scenes in all Scripture—some in the name of righteousness, others in the name of evil. Each class challenges us to apply what we learned for life change, as we seek God and seek to live as R12 Christians.

Room 224

All ages (couples, as well as singles) will experience a warm welcome as we enjoy a time of light refreshment, prayer, worship in song and study. Expository as well as topical teaching is offered and class participation is encouraged. This year's study is in the book 1 John. You'll also find times of fellowship, service, and activities.
