There are hundreds of children in foster care in Santa Clara County. Hundreds more live in crisis, not knowing if tomorrow is the day that everything will change, and their family will disintegrate. Hundreds of youth and young adults live on the streets of Santa Clara County. While children involved in the child welfare system come from all parts of the county, the lion’s share of the families come from five zip codes in San Jose and one in Gilroy. It is a challenging picture, but we believe God has called us to change it.
Through Jeremiah’s Promise, support youth who have aged out of foster care, or are soon to age out. Target young adults who desire a college education or a certificate program. Volunteers would guide, mentor, and support them on their path to college.
