The Family Pastor of Venture Christian Church will pastor/shepherd ages infant through college, while providing tools and resources for parents of young children and students. They will additionally bear responsibility for working with the Directors of each aforementioned ministry department, in administering and developing comprehensive standards, curriculums, and programming elements.



The primary focus of this position is to work with the In Community Team, Outreach Team, and other VCC teams to develop a thriving and multiplying microsite ministry throughout the Bay Area. This person will be responsible to create teams of volunteers and mobilize them to missional engagement. This position requires strong leadership, team building/recruiting volunteers, administration, excellent people skills and an ability to cast vision in a fast paced environment. This is a highly innovative and vital role to the implementation of the vision of Venture Christian Church.



The Graphic Design Lead is a contract position which will give oversight to the artistic expression of our church. Expertise in multiple disciplines of design (marketing & print, layout, web, screen, etc.) is a must, as is the ability to design for multiple demographics while keeping a consistent visual voice and a high bar for quality. This is a position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who is creative and on the cutting edge of design trends and techniques. 



The Elementary Ministry Lead, as a member of the Children’s Ministry Staff, will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the spiritual needs of Elementary children (1st – 5th grade) and their families. The Elementary Ministry Lead will be responsible for leading staff and volunteer teams to provide spiritual development of both children and parents through regular, ongoing programming, and special services/events. This position will be responsible to implement and train safety and security procedures to all staff and volunteer members.



The role of the HisKidz lead is to coordinate under the leadership of family ministries all aspects of the HisKidz ministry for individuals with special needs including individualized student supports, curriculum, and training, and development of volunteer teams as an extension of Christ’s love to families and their children.



Do you like rocking babies to sleep or playing peekaboo with toddlers? We have the job for you!  Our nursery/toddler rooms are looking for several part-time Nursery/Childcare staff. You will be a loving, competent, spirit-led staff presence to care for our youngest members. You will be punctual and reliable. Care will be provided while their mothers/caretakers attend Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS). Qualified candidates must be at least 18 years old, have experience working with young children and pass a background check.  

Job Duration:

Start dates are early September 2017, with one mandatory meeting to be held in August. Hours are Friday mornings 9am-12pm.  Additional hours may be possible Wednesday and/or Thursday mornings and during other church events.   


$12 per hour


  • Assist with set-up and cleanup for the day
  • Teach a provided age appropriate lesson and a craft
  • Understand and follow all Venture Kidzplace policies and procedures

We’re looking for a photographer with a heart for people to capture the energy and faces of our weekend services for use on social media. We want to show the smiling faces of our congregation, feature and honor our dedicated volunteers, capture the heart and passion of our worship, and more for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter - showing the outside community what Venture is really like. Responsibilities will include: taking fun pictures around campus during services; selecting, photographing, and (briefly) interviewing 1-2 volunteers per weekend; capturing key moments during our worship services (powerful moment during the music, sharable quote and shot of the teaching pastor, etc.); and selecting the best of the images taken during the weekend and either posting them directly through our social media publishing tool, or delivering the materials to the Creative Team for them to post. 

No camera gear is required (Venture can provide if needed), just a good eye and a little experience coupled, a very basic familiarity with social media, and a heart for the people in our congregation.

Time Commitment: Minimum of 1 service per weekend. If multiple people volunteer for this position, we’d love to establish a rotation so the burden isn’t on any one person.



The service producer is responsible for the feel and flow of the service. This especially manifests in the visual aesthetics and transitions of service elements.


Rehearsal & Run-Through

  • Check ProPresenter slides for completeness, accuracy, and song backgrounds; Place musicians and vocalists aesthetically on stage
  • Lead production meeting
  • Work through all transitions during run-through
  • Assure that musicians, lights, audio, and video teams are ready for all service elements 
  • Answer any questions or judgment calls that arise during run-through

During Service

  • Call all transitions, titles, slides, etc. for production team
  • Track times on Planning Center Live
  • Communicate any “audibles” to appropriate team members

After Service

  • Coordinate with worship leader, teaching pastor, and any others to determine any changes or improvements for upcoming services
  • Determine “live” or “video” message for next service and communicate to all parties

Time Commitment

  • The hours would include 1pm through end of service on Saturdays, and 6:30am through end of last service on Sundays
  • Serve as often or as infrequently as preferred. 


Every weekend, 6-12 new families visit Venture and check their children into Children's Ministry. A hospitality coach would over see this process and be a point person for the check in volunteer teams for one service. Do you like to connect with new people? Background check required



Every weekend, during all services, 14 different check in stations are operating along with printers to check children in and print security labels. Every service has 14 different children's classrooms or environments where TV's, DVD's and sound systems are operating.
