Daren and Jodi serve with Action International Ministries in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. They arrived in Phnom Penh in 2003 to serve long-term among the Khmer people. Daren is the team leader where he focuses his energy on leadership development and discipleship among the poor and marginalized. They are blessed by four children.
Mackenzie is a Venture homegrown missionary. She is a group leader at Young Life in Orange County working on the campuses of UC Irvine, Chapman and other colleges around the area. Her ministry involves ministering students looking for a group to join a Christian community at their schools. As part of her ministry, she leads a small group of girls at Chapman to grow in Christ. Her prayer request are: For more small group leaders to lead students and for God to provide the funds for the fall as it is usually a busy and expensive season for the ministry.
Kyle & Emily Driggers
Kyle and Emily are the directors for Bridges International in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kyle studied Physics at the University of Missouri and Emily, Broadcast Communications. They were married in 2001 and began working with college students in St Louis, Missouri with Cru. For seven years (starting in 2007) Kyle & Emily lived overseas and taught English in multiple Asian countries. In 2014 they moved to the Bay Area to begin working with university students from around the world.
Rigo & Blanca Martinez
Rigoberto and Blanca are El Salvadorians. He came to the Lord by stumbling into Venture in the 1980s. One of the first ministry activities was driving a high school group to Mexico for a short-term trip. When they were walking around the Mexican town, a woman came up to them and said, “We have been praying for a missionary to come and plant a church, and you’re it.” For the next twenty years, Rigo and Blanca would drive from San Jose to Mexico six to eight times a year to do ministry, until eventually in 2010 they moved to Mexico, where they have helped start several churches.
Fares & Soha Abraham
Fares leads Levant Ministries, an organization reaching Arabic-speaking people. Through their media outreach, missions, and field operations, they deliver the message of Jesus directly through preaching, teaching, leading music and worship, and multimedia productions. They also gather, train, and equip the next generation of leaders through a big conference, equip and train them through an online institute, and mobilize them into field work through mobilization program.
Andrew & Margaret Abu-Ghazaleh
Andrew and Margaret lead a network of churches in Palestine, comprised mostly of Muslim background believers and Messianic Jewish believers. In addition, Andrew is responsible for training leaders at conferences throughout the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
Henri & Ruthie Aoun
Henri and Ruth coordinate ministry for CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. They oversee teams and media outreach, and generally do whatever they can to see the Great Commission fulfilled in that part of the world.
Jose & Dian Avila
Jose and Dian Avila live in San Jose, California, but travel frequently to Central and South America, where they train national leaders in establishing new churches with a strong emphasis on discipleship.
Danielle is serving on a one-year extended short-term assignment in Cambodia. She works with girls who have been rescued from human trafficking.
Minas & Helen Hiury
Dr. Minas has been a key player in multi-church multi-agency partnerships in Ethiopia that have resulted in the created of a university, feeding programs, and a church planting movement that is expanding to all corners of Ethiopia and now to neighboring countries.
Benita works with Love Never Fails, an organization dedicated to the restoration, education and protection of those involved or at risk of becoming involved in domestic sex trafficking, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dave & Lynn Hunt
Dave and Lynn serve with CityTeam as coaches and catalysts of major church planting movements in North and Central America, and in East Africa.
Sarah grew up in a Hmong community in Thailand. After several years at Venture, including interning with the Middle School, she has returned to minister in Thailand. She works with at-risk girls who were on the path to human trafficking.
John & Rosemary Kane
John and Rosemary are Venture missionaries who have lived and ministered in Thailand for many years. They train church leaders who minister primarily among the White and Blue Hmong tribes in Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.
Sterling & Kiana Karnan
The Karnans are in Ethiopia, working in the Lake Langano region in a ministry with Ethiopian youth through a sports camp. The youth are primarily those coming from a Muslim background.
Rigo & Vicky Lopez
Rigo is the Bay Area representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a group which empowers and equips coaches and athletes of all ages to use the platform of athletics to impact the world for Jesus Christ. Rigo is also the chaplain to the Spanish speaking San Francisco Giants.
Beni Lup ministers in his homeland of Romania. He trains church people to start new churches, and is particularly active amongst the Gypsy community. He also coordinates humanitarian supplies for poor families and provide shelter and legal assistance to victims of human trafficking.
Shannon leads global security operations for Food for the Hungry. She specializes in developing security plans for those working in dangerous or volatile situations. In some cases she is involved in extractions, retrieving kidnapped victims.
David is a Teacher and Resident Director at the Bible School of Geneva. He teaches and mentors students and pastors.
Sam & Rebecca Niblack
The Niblacks serve in Toulouse, France, where Sam co-pastors a Baptist church. Most of his time is spent preaching and in pastoral ministry, but he also teaches in several Biblical training schools, and speaks regularly in other churches.
Ted & Judy Olsen
Ted & Judy Olsen work with Global Fellowship to bring Christ to unreached cultures and to plant churches. They work in numerous countries around the world, including Kenya, where their Project TARGET 2020 aims to plant churches in every village on all 14 islands in Lake Victoria, Kenya.
Danny is a local missionary who works in the South Bay in gang prevention. Danny grew up in the gang culture and walked away from it by responding to God's call. He is now a pastor and founded City Peace Project which provides education, awareness and support to youth and families impacted by gang violence.
