If you are able to help, there are many ways you can serve people in our community who are vulnerable to the virus. First, you can pray, call and support those in your neighborhood, and use social media to reach out. If you would like to help financially through Venture, you may designate your giving to the COVID-19 Relief Fund.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
You’re invited to join the Venture family every Wednesday for a day of fasting and prayer, followed by an online prayer meeting at 7 pm. As part of the IF MY PEOPLE movement of Bay Area churches, we will unite to fast and pray each week during this global crisis. Join us as we seek God together as one voice.
Here’s how it works:
FAST & PRAY: Fasting is the act of physically humbling your soul before God by abstaining from something, typically food. It declares that our need for Him is greater than our need for anything else. Let’s press pause and set aside something — food, drink, media streams, social media feeds — to focus intensely on God. Maintain an attitude of prayer throughout the day and when you feel deprived of what you’ve chosen to give up.
MEET: After breaking the fast with an evening meal in our homes, we will join together for a weekly ONLINE PRAYER MEETING AT 7 PM. We believe that wherever prayer focuses, the power of God falls. And that the only truly productive thing we can do in these turbulent times is to pray.

Yes — but NOT on campus. The campus will be closed. All services will only be available online at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and at 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. on Sunday at venture.cc. While we encourage everyone to join us during one of the 3 worship times, the service will be available on-demand during the week as well. Resources for Venture Kids and Venture Middle School & High School will also be provided on the website by our Family Ministries Team to supplement the services.
From March 14 – April 9, no church events will take place on the Venture campus. This includes all church events and meetings of any size. If you need to contact the church office, call 408-997-4600 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make sure someone gets in touch with you.
The White House, working with the CDC, issued guidelines for Santa Clara County. These guidelines have broadened and as of 3/13/20, Santa Clara County is currently ordered to ban gatherings of 35-100 people. In an effort to partner well with our community, we are complying with the order and making every effort to help stem the tide of this pandemic.

While no ministry meetings will take place on the Venture campus during this time, we would encourage the church to continue to connect where possible. Everyone needs to practice wisdom. If you are high-risk based on age or underlying medical condition, minimize social interaction in person. But for the majority, we need to be with each other. Consider small gatherings for Life Groups, families, and others. Families and groups might want to gather together to experience the online worship service and share a meal.
Our Care Ministry teams and pastors are available to support you in your time of need, both with spiritual direction and practical support. You can learn more or request prayer at venture.cc/care or by calling the church office at 408-997-4600.
Online giving is available at venture.cc/give, providing a secure, safe way to contribute to the ongoing needs of the church. You can also give through your mobile phone by texting an amount to 408-916-5512. Or, if you prefer, you can mail a check to the church office. We are grateful for your financial support and encourage you to continue to be generous as Venture seeks to step into the uncertainty of the day with the truth of the Gospel.
