Pastor Tim Lundy has challenged the church body to read through the New Testament in a year. Each week Kidventure will bring a lesson from that week’s reading to life with games, activities, and songs!
As a family we encourage you to follow along with the church’s reading plan. We’ll have coloring books and audio options available for our non-readers. Your kids will get awards like stickers and missions bucks for memorizing the Big Idea and Bible verse for each book of the New Testament. We’ll work on the memory work together as well as send them home with what they need to work on there.
Starting January 6th 2021, rain or shine, KidVenture will be meeting OUTSIDE under the white tent. Be sure to pre-register your kids and dress warm. Kids will be divided into groups by grade.
K-1st graders will learn the character of God through age-appropriate and interactive Bible lessons, worship, and games! K-1st graders will be molded and shaped with biblical truths as they begin their spiritual development.
2nd and 3rd graders will be challenged to transfer their understanding of the gospel from their heads to their hearts. They will be nurtured and loved as they memorize, learn, and play.
Preteens (4-5th) will be challenged to raise their own voice, ask their own questions, and explore the Bible themselves. Preteen ministry is an opportunity for 4th and 5th graders to lead, serve, and discover God’s Kingdom. Staff and volunteers will come alongside them to guide and love them as they take the training wheels off!
To register, you will need to be signed into your ROCK account. If you do not have a ROCK account, you will be directed to set one up when you click the button below. If you have any problems with the registration, please contact Anna Clagett, anna@venture.cc.
Q. How is this lesson different from your Sunday school videos?
KidVenture is an intentional discipleship program that will provide kids with weekly challenges, rewards, and deep understanding of who God is.
Q. What does the cost cover?
The $40 covers a KidVenture t-shirt, innovative New Testament flashcards, a KidVenture binder, access to reward stickers, and a KidVenture bag to keep track of everything!
Q. Will KidVenture always happen on Wednesday afternoons?
Our hope is, with the lifting of specific restrictions, to move KidVenture INDOORS and to the EVENING. When the county allows us to meet inside we will move KidVenture indoors from 6:00-7:30pm on Wednesdays.
Q. What safety protocols will be put in place?
We are committed to the health and safety of our Venture families. All kids must be pre-registered, to allow for contact tracing, health screening and temperature checks will be mandatory, and all mask mandates and social distancing protocols will be followed.
Q. How will drop off and pick up work?
We will be doing a curbside drop off and pick up system to limit contact. Parents will be provided with window sheets with their child’s name(s) and age(s) on them. Staff and volunteers will use radios to send for your child(ren) who will be escorted to their parents’ car.
Q. I want my child to participate in KidVenture but do not feel comfortable sending them in person.
We completely understand that not all families are ready to resume in-person activities. Each week we will film the KidVenture curriculum and your child can watch it from home. In addition, we will provide drive-through pick-ups for your child to pick up their KidVenture apparel, binders, bags, and reward stickers. Lastly, once a month (Wednesday at 6-7pm) we will have listeners available via zoom to listen to child’s scripture and big idea memorization..
Q. What if I can’t afford to pay the $40?
We never want cost to discourage you or your child from experiencing KidVenture. Scholarships are available. Also, if you are able to provide a scholarship for another child, let us know.
