A graduate of Crichton College and Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.), Tim has been in ministry for close to 30 years. He previously served as Lead Pastor of Christ Community Church, Little Rock, AR; Teaching Pastor of Venture Christian Church, Los Gatos, CA; Directional Leader of Fellowship Bible Church, Little Rock, AR; Chaplain for the International Community School and Pastor of the International Community Church in Bangkok, Thailand; and Interim Director of Spiritual Formation at the Center for Christian Leadership at Dallas Theological Seminary.
Tim has been married to his best friend, Lea, for over 27 years, and they love being the parents of seven children, two sons-in-laws, and one grandson: Lindsey and Matt LaFleur with their toddler, Emmerich; Mallory and David Connell; Kate, Drew, Kent, Blake, and Jude.
Tom is a Colorado native who brings over thirty years of ministry experience to Venture—16 years at FamilyLife, a division of Cru, ten years as a Community Groups Pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Nashville, and three years as an Executive Pastor at Crossroads Bible Church in the Seattle area. He has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a Master’s in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary.
He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Anna, for 33 years. They have five fantastic children, a son-in-law and daughter-in-law and two adorable grandsons.
For fun, Tom loves to watch football and basketball, create the perfect cup of coffee, and share delicious food with friends.
Cheryl has been married to the love of her life and best friend, Robert, for over 35 years. They live in San Jose and are blessed with three children, two sons-in-law, and one granddaughter: Erin and Cameron Cobb with their daughter Audrey, Merissa and Joe Silveira, and Cameron.
Prior to joining Venture in 2019, Cheryl held a variety of positions in the high tech sector. Cheryl has a diverse background having held positions in Human Resources, Investor Relations, and Marketing Communications in the high tech sector. As a leader in progressive performance management, Cheryl is passionate about connecting people’s gifting, aspirations, and interests to the needs of the organization.
Known as “Murph” around Venture, Michael has been married to his wife, Laura, for 39 years; has three adult children: Brittany (married to Chris Sattel), Calvin, and Brooke; and two grandchildren: Olivia & Dillon. Michael has served as Worship Arts Pastor at Hoffmantown Church, Albuquerque; Executive Pastor of Worship & Creative at Central Church, Las Vegas; and Executive Pastor at Renaissance Church, Summit, NJ (NYC suburbs). Michael joined the Venture Staff in 2016, and brings over 23 years of experience as an Executive Pastor of Worship and Creative Ministries. Michael is also a certified LifePlan and StratOp Facilitator.
Previous to working in local church ministry, Michael was a 4-time Dove Award winning recording artist, songwriter, producer and studio musician. He has a passion for fine guitars, amplifiers, and sports, including the Dallas Cowboys, the San Jose Sharks, and the Golden State Warriors. On his days off you’ll find him exploring the beauty of the Bay Area beaches and forests.
Dave Stewart is a husband, father, and NorCal native. He and Brenda have been married for over thirty years, and together raised four kids: Caitlin (married to Chris Anderson), Daniel, Nathan and Emily. In his spare time, Dave likes to smoke meat, travel with Brenda, hike, fish, ski, or anything else that involves the outdoors.
Dave has a diverse education that includes an undergraduate degree in Forestry, a Master of Theology, and Doctor of Ministry (completing this year). In his early career, Dave worked in computer programming, then served on staff with Campus Crusade. Over the last twenty-five years, he’s served in a variety of pastoral roles in Washington State and in California. He joined the leadership team at Venture in 2017, and serves as the Discipleship Pastor and leads the Men’s Ministry.
Eddie Byun, Venture’s Outreach Pastor, is married to Ally and together they have one son (Enoch). After growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, he spent 23 years pastoring and teaching all over the world, including in Canada, Australia, and Korea. Eddie is the author of Justice Awakening, Praying for Your Pastor, and Praying for Your Missionary (IVP). He is also the Executive Director of the award-winning documentary Save My Seoul, which exposes the reality of sex trafficking in South Korea.
Venture’s Director of Facilities, Michael Tibke, has been married to his wife Ericka for 20 years, raising two sons (Ethan and Gabriel). With 20 plus years of facilities and operational experience (ranging from the Semiconductor Industry to the Department of Defense and Global Cybersecurity), Michael now oversees various operational needs here at Venture (Facilities, Security/Safety, Traffic Control, Medical, and Information Technology). He is passionate about exploring new sustainable concepts and finding practical operational ways to leverage them for the church.
