Baptism

What is the Meaning of Baptism?

Baptism is an outward symbol for those who believe that God through Jesus has forgiven their sins, and who want to declare publicly their commitment to follow Him. Baptism does not “save” a person, only faith in Christ does that.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.”  Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)
